Hansell Drew & Co will be closing later this year, and not accepting new work from the 30th September 2024.

Our team are moving to work with Phoenix Solicitors in an employed capacity, and with regards existing clients we are happy to take your case with us to Phoenix Solicitors.

We expect Phoenix Solicitors to be operating from our current premises at Bridge House in Newton Abbot. In the alternative you are free to instruct whichever solicitors firm you choose and we will of course facilitate the smooth transfer of your file should you request a change of solicitor, and where appropriate for Legal Aid clients we will arrange the transfer of Legal Aid.

We take this opportunity to thank all of our clients past and present for their instructions and confirm that we will continue to keep closed files in a secure storage facility for a period of 6 years from the conclusion of the case. If any existing or past clients have any queries, please contact our office on 01803 834555 or by email admin@hanselldrew.com

Police Station Advice

Every person who the Police propose to interview under caution at the Police Station, whether under arrest or attending by appointment voluntarily, is entitled to free independent legal advice paid for by the Legal Aid Authority.

Why do you need a Solicitor?

The Police are proposing to interview you about a crime.  If you are prosecuted or convicted of that crime, or the Police impose an official caution (which although stops short of Court proceedings), this will create an official criminal record which can have serious impact upon future life prospects, such as employment and even foreign travel.

It is our advice that the whole process should be treated seriously and that you do yourself justice by securing the services of a solicitor at the earliest stage in the proceedings.
